Nice little marina with courtesy car, and bicycles. Friendly folks and a very pretty waterfront neighborhood
Navigational challenges?
Helping bring a PDQ 34 Power Catamaran up north. We spent a magical day in the ICW (Intracoastal Waterway) coming north from Fernandina Beach boating through low country and the marshes, undeveloped and unspoiled wetlands most of the way. The Jekyll Island cut is shallow and narrow. Find and stay in the center, anything over four feet may also want to watch the tide.
Hell’s Gate is a very narrow spot. It looked really sketchy to us but if you stay in the very small channel it is OK.
What are some places to explore?
Savannah was established in 1733 and is a coastal town on a river waterfront. There are a lot of neighborhoods to explore ll with great food and entertainment options

Driftaway Cafe is a real neighborhood bar with great food and a welcoming friendly atmosphere. It is very busy. Yet we were made to feel instantly at home In short order, we were adopted as honorary locals and had a great time with customers and staff alike, Crab chowder was phenomenal and we both had shrimp and grits. Highly recommended. I will definitely be back if I am ever anywhere near this area
